interfaces

the ‘Interface(s)’ project proposes a ‘hybridization’ of relational technologies with the ‘legitimate’ objects of living space:
These ‘hybrid’ objects thus become diffusers of on-line services. They embody the visible and user-friendly interfaces that mediate relations between people in a wide range of practises in the home: computer-enabled pastimes, communication services and comfort-related devices.
In their material presence, these ‘relational objects’ are discreet, soft and emotional.

3poäng

While trying to gain inspiration from natural materials in a beautiful birch tree forest outside Stockholm, this lamp was instead inspired by a natural gesture. Without the static foot this lamp invites you to grab it and move it where you need light the most. It can be used as a “floor stand” lamp that leans against the wall, in a corner or simply flat on the floor. Rubber at the 3 touch points prevents the lamp from falling.

Weave your lighting - Last of three

The biggest inspiration of this lighting is my mother's knitting hobbies during my childhood. Her knitted sweaters and gloves remind me of the good days of my childhood. I saw the neat pile of electric wires as yarns and soon decided to knit(weave) my own. Other than knitting with needles, I developed a new way of weaving the rubber but solid wires into long, scarf-like or brush-like form of lighting. They are weaved by one long wire which varies in length-from 10 to 300meters.
