H2O Unica
Interior lighting goes far beyond functionality in the new collection by In-es.artdesign – UNICI. The idea behind the H2O Unica is a dadaistic provocation that unites light and relaxation. The inside is in fact decorated with dried tea bags, that on top of creating a striking visual, also gives of scents and connects to the rituals of ancient times.

Crochet
The method of crocheting was reinterpreted in this piece through the forging of 60kg of classic brass pulls by a local jeweler resulting in a mesh which adorns the sinuous silhouette of the piece. The solid wood frame consists of seven drawers finished with a darkened gold leaf that ensures a mystery and an elegance which contrasts with the vibrant jewel toned purple of the handles.

Mondrian
This stunning sideboard is composed of a collection of styles and typologies of drawers that consist of different finishes from black glass to white leather and white lacquer to miniature BL logo’s all encased in a clear glass box and supported by a high gloss white lacquer solid wood base. Many of the drawers are accented with fabric lined bottoms, and handcrafted brass pulls in a natural finish and coated in chrome.

LIQUID by Studio Schrofer
Liquid is a pendant luminaire created by Dutch designer Frans Schrofer. It is formed by a complex high pressure production process to create the flowing energy shape inspired by the ocean´s ebb and flood. Liquid floats in space suspended by two gossamer like steel cables. High performance dimmable LEDs are seamlessly integrated in the metal body under an acrylic cover.

Lullaby is the latest creation by Sand & Birch studio: a chair with a strong personality, dinamically taking up space with its slender and bent shapes.

The Flood-Proof House is a new vision addressing the need for increased resistance to major floods, tsunamis, and sea level increases. Utilizing a flexible system of prefab components, a strategy is offered for sites worldwide.
This built prototype, certified Platinum and FEMA approved, includes an innovative foundation system that uses thirty percent less materials than current flood zone buildings and a cantilevered second story.

ART COLOGNE
The 44th ART COLOGNE will take place April 21-25, 2010. The last
edition of the ART COLOGNE proved able to meet the challenges of the
new economy by physical consolidation, conceptual expansion and easy
access to the cultural riches of the Rhineland. The 44th Internationaler Kunstmarkt will build on this model. Located
again in Levels 1 and 2 of Hall 11 of the Koelnmesse grounds in
Cologne-Deutz, the 44th ART COLOGNE will showcase 180 modern, post-war
and contemporary galleries.
Modern and post-war will occupy level 1. Level 2 will present
contemporary galleries, as well as Open Space and New Contemporaries,
ART COLOGNE's proven platforms for the presentation of young and
cutting-edge international art.
