Tim Antoniuk is designer and Assistant Professor in the Industrial Design Program at the University of Alberta. He is a regular presenter at international design conferences on a new body of research that he has initiated on “morphing” products and interior environments.

Geoffrey Lilge is an Industrial Designer with more than ten years of experience designing furniture and home accessories.Co-founder and design / marketing director for Canadian home accessories manufacturer Pure Design Ltd, Lilge has worked closely with many international collegues.

For the contest « Transformation : Live-React » Julien Lassort and Matthieu Burlot explored the human face, the most exposed and personal part of the human body. Their dynamic portrayal of “1000 and one faces” is a mosaic of portraits and emotions that plays off of the power of faces seen close up.

Starting February 2008, Michael Erdmann and Todd Falkowsky of Toronto-based design collective Motherbrand launched "The Souvenir Shop": a retail installation of souvenir Canadiana offering wares that are both provocative yet affordable. We met Todd at the Gladstone Hotel.

On this years´ graduation party of the Koeln International School of Design we met Prof. Dr. Michael Erlhoff. He told us some very interesting things about the brand new "Kölner Design Preis" which will be awarded on 6 November 2008.

For the final project in her communication arts degree at the Holon institute of Technology (HIT) Israel, Liron Kroll put some serious miles on her home scanner, creating hundreds of impressions of the female body, which she then mixed with typography and animation to make “How much of a woman.”
