Starting February 2008, Michael Erdmann and Todd Falkowsky of Toronto-based design collective Motherbrand launched "The Souvenir Shop": a retail installation of souvenir Canadiana offering wares that are both provocative yet affordable. We met Todd at the Gladstone Hotel.

Today in the morning, on Nov 6, the press conference for the very first Cologne Design Award (1. Kölner Design Preis) took place at the Museum of Applied Arts in the centre of Cologne.
