The Gladstone Hotel is a unique urban hotel providing both travelers and Torontonians with a truly authentic experience of the local creative culture. We met Christina Zeidler, president of the Gladstone Hotel, and she told us about the hotel's thirty-seven artist-designed guest rooms and many more exclusive issues...

Starting February 2008, Michael Erdmann and Todd Falkowsky of Toronto-based design collective Motherbrand launched "The Souvenir Shop": a retail installation of souvenir Canadiana offering wares that are both provocative yet affordable. We met Todd at the Gladstone Hotel.

DSTV visited the "Passagen" and took an exclusive look around and caught some vibrant atmosphere in those locations:

1. DESIGNSPOTTER STAND
Third day of imm cologne, and today we introduce our stand at hall 3.1 / young professionals. All over the blue carpet there are products from more than 50 exhibitors, coming from 16 countries all around the world. Awesome!

It was a great pleasure to meet Ross Lovegrove for an interview during Cologne Design Week. He presented his new bathroom collection at VitrA Bad Showroom Cologne and spent some time with Ioanna Paraskeva from DSTV, talking about his life and business. Enjoy 22 minutes of conversation.

In this years` imm cologne it was a pleasure for us to present Ford kinetic design on the DESIGNSPOTTER stand in hall 3.1

We interviewed some interesting design workers from different fields like

- Erika Tsubaki, design strategy & futuring
- Serife Uenal, color & material design
- Hans-Jürgen Teubner, sound design

DSTV met the trend board members Eero Koivisto and Arik Levy for an interview during the imm cologne. They seemed to be very relaxed while answering some (more or less) private questions about their plans, wishes and professional opinions.
