Burning the roots Berlin 2008

Patron of the Arts

Video Artists Thyra Hilden and Pio Diaz can thank art patron and Designer Peter J. Lassen for supporting their project „Berliner City on Fire“.

At the opening of Lassens new design store „Montana Berlin“ in house Hardenberg  the 78 year old designer presented their extraordinary work.  He wanted to underline the historcal and cultural value behind the building's unique architecture.

The result Hilden and Diaz presented was a fascinating, mystical installation that caused furore and left no observer unaffected. In the future the installation City on fire will burn once a year in house Hardenberg and has become an important componement of Berlin's cultural scene.
