DesignCamp Cologne 2009
First European DesignCamp welcomes International Attendees in Cologne. On January 24th and 25th, 2009 designers meet for an unconference
„Encourage, enable, empower“ – this is the motto of the first DesignCamp in Europe. The DesignCamp Cologne will be held at imm cologne 2009 (international furnishing show) and is organized by a team of volunteers. The international event is free of charge for participating designers who are welcome to come to Cologne at the weekend of January 24th and 25th, 2009 to present their visionary, creative and innovative design ideas.
„Let a thousand flowers bloom“ – diversity of topics and participants foster a creative ecosphere “User-generated“ sessions help the participants of the DesignCamp Cologne to exchange new ideas and concepts, to get informed about the latest trends, to get inspired and to present their own projects. To transcend barriers, the DesignCamp Cologne is open for all disciplines of design. Architects, web designer, interior designer, product designer, 3D designer, industrial designer, photo designer, graphic designer and multimedia designer – everybody is welcome and encouraged to present his session and his favorite topic. In this creative ecosphere new interdisciplinary ideas can evolve and lead to unique concepts and solutions never seen before.
„Expect the unexpected“ - openness and divergent ideas lead to new design concepts Like at a jam session, there is no pre-defined outcome of a BarCamp. There are not spectators, only participants. The open atmosphere and the option to offer your own session, creates very dynamic and innovative events. The creative atmosphere is very inspiring to everybody who dives deep into this new pool of mind-expanding ideas and open space for theoretical ideas and practical projects. The participation in the DesignCamp Cologne is free of charge – it just costs you to hold one session and to participate actively in the event. The event has been made possible through the generous support of world-leading companies like Adobe, HP, imm cologne, Designspotter, DeinDesign, A better tomorrow, kikkerbillen, Kölner Internet Union e.V., make.tv, mixxt, MSH and more, mymuesli.com and Sonntagmorgen.com.
To register, please go to http://designcamp.mixxt.de and follow the instructions there. For all designers who are not able to visit DesignCamp Cologne 2009, the event will be broadcasted live via make.tv – a new and innovative live event-streaming platform.
