A wellknown problem of loftliving on former factory- or office-floors without room dividers is this: How can openness and generosity of the loft floorplan be maintained during everyday use? LOFTBOX101 is an intelligent solution for temporary needs to separate oneself, whether for a focused conversation, to read or to work with a laptop and suchlike. The optionally unfolded „space within space“ creates a shielded area if needed.  In one of the fold-out elements is a TFT-monitor for visual presentations at meetings.

As a retreat the LOFTBOX101 integrates itself into its typological surrounding and it projected  the logic of mixed-use urban quarters up to interior design. When closed only a mobile platform remains, structuring space and mobile through 16 rollers. It’s potential: Unrecognized in the open space.
