Shining Guards

Active shining mudguards enormously improve the road safety in general and the side safety of bikers in special. The “Shining Guards” are made of the so called “smart surface”, developed by Bayer Inc. and Lumitec Inc.. “smart surface” is a 3D-formable EL-foil (electroluminescent foil), which is efficient in the use of electricity as well. The front mud guard is white, the back mud guard is red. This determines the direction to which the bike rides for all other road users. The “Shining Guards” have been awarded with the iF material award.
