Seeking a producer!

The worst thing about being seated in a chair - must be sitting in a chair. Even more worse than sitting in a chair - must be sitting fixed and still. My inspiration has been grandmother knitting in her rocking chair. She is gently rocking forwards and backwards – hour after hour. The only activity of hers is now and then to push her feet against the floor – nice and easy. The chair works in her favour; it increases the blood circulation and is therefore very pleasant – hour after hour…

The movement was the basic concept designing the chair Slice. A … sliced… wooden shall. Done for the purpose of weaken the construction to such a stadium, that its ability to give in to movement was present. The size of the cuts, was calculated so that no child might hurt there fingers, and the amount to ensure the right length of movement backwards. The cuts are designed in such a way, that the functionality provides a timeless graphic attitude.
