Puzzle FloorTM was launched at the Surfaces flooring tradeshow in Las Vegas in January of 2005 and the interest in the product has been increasing ever since. Puzzle FloorTM is manufactured by Briggs Engineered Wood Products located in Plaster Rock, New Brunswick, Canada.

Puzzle FloorTM is a niche product that is targeted toward theme rooms in residential settings, ie. Children’s bedrooms, games rooms, family rooms, etc. We can also personalize a puzzle piece by laser engraving. There are several examples on our website.

Puzzle FloorTM is manufactured from edge-glued solid hardwood 5/8” thick. The pieces are machined into one of two profiles, male or female, and these are laid alternately to form the pattern. An integrated border system completes the room. After machining each piece is dipped in a sealer so that the faces and edges are sealed to resist moisture changes. Each piece is then pre-finished using one of 12 different stains or natural finish. The home owner or contractor provides us with the layout of the room including dimensions and we design a puzzle floor to fit the room. Each Puzzle FloorTM is custom designed to fit the end user’s room. We work with the homeowner or designer to create a unique floor to meet their individual taste, including mixing colors within the floor. After the design process is complete we ship the Puzzle FloorTM as a kit that arrives ready to install. We typically ship within one week from final design approval.
