Cable Carpet

The idea for this carpet comes from the cables that usually lie around on the floor and cross our rooms. Often they are a huge mess on the floor and you can easily trip and fall over them.

Of course this problem is not a new one and there are alot of really good solutions for it. Most of these solutions are trying to hide the cable because cables are not nice to look at. But if one takes a closer look at the cables you can realize that they build subtly patterns on the floor.

Cable Carpet connects two objects - carpet and cable.

Pathways were shaved out of a carpet with a high structure. In these paths the cables can be put in. An attachment was necessary to avoid that the cables can pop out again. On the one hand this attachment had to be soft enough to walk over it and on the other hand it was not supposed to interrupt the lines.
