“Der Suppenvogel” (the soupbird) is a small bird sitting at the edge of a soup bowl to strew sesame or herbs into the soup. By winding up the bird with a key it begins to strew while it is moving up and down. The bird keeps company while eating the soup and therefore brings more pleasure.
