Cohda Designs Recycling Factory

An innovative exhibition that saw rubbish transformed into funky contemporary designs has just concluded in the UK as part of the Design Councils dott07.com festival. The event the brainchild of Cohda designs Richard Liddle was a public display that allowed visitors a front row seat in viewing a range of recycled products being born. Plastic rubbish was brought along to the event by members of the public and transformed on the spot by the Cohda team via their U.R.E process into a range of sustainable plastic designs.

The Event ran from the 20-28 October and began without any products on display, just a series of machinery at one end of the space. In fact on the opening night the space was almost bare, but as the public supplied their waste plastic and Cohda applied their skills, the exhibit evolved and the event became the highlight of the design festival.

Cohda chose to give away many designs on the last day of the event to very happy winners! One piece of waste packaging per person was marked with the collector’s details at the event and winners picked at random.
