Furniture 0 Suppenkaspar by Farsen & Schöllhammer
A table that is missing two legs will inevitably topple over, won't it? In this design the missing legs are compensated by weights that are fixed in the appropriate places. These weights are held by nearly invisible thin strings. The assumed damage of the table causes the user to have a special experience. Even though the table shows surprising stability, an elastic effect and torsion will always be felt. This table demands cautious use, and it is not recommended to comfortably sit down on its edge. In a series of three variations the physical principle was examined, played with and carried it to the extremes. Suppenkaspar is part of the series "inValid" and was recently awarded with the Focus Award 2007. Designer: Nina Farsen & Isabel Schöllhammer Made in Germany
