Polion by Sebastian Herkner

Polion is a chandelier with twelve lamps. It consists of a twelve angulard metall ring with one socket at each of the twelve sides. You can attach the lights very simple and in any order. Depending on the situation, you can switch them separately on or off. Using the toaster at breakfast in the morning, you can also remove one of the lamps, to connect the toaster or the mobile charger to one of the sockets. Polion is compared to the usage as a lamp also a relief of the home infrastructure. Everybody can take out one of the twelve lamps to use it at a conventional socket in his own room. Light symbolizes here the value of gathering and belonging together.
