Sciocola Bench by Adele Rotella
The basis for "Sciocolà" project is the purpose of create a Luxury object that increase the value of wood and its sensuous qualities. Sciocolà seat invite you to live the downtime as a pleasure and a luxury moment. These feelings come from high quality of materials, manufactory care and the design that allude to the pleasure of the palate. Wood is the main character of Sciocolà seat and in this project can satisfy sight, touch and smell senses. The taste is explicitly remembered. The wood selected for the frame is beech, well-known for its endurance and workability features, veneered with precious species chosen for their appearence that suggest three chocolate flavours: Wengè/dark chocolate, Rosewood/ milk chocolate and Ahorn/White chocolate. Each "chocolate" cube is free and indipendent from the others. The user is invited to interact with cubes to genarate the movement and to caress their surface. The design make a difference: every "cool" factor is well connected with "warm" factors to get over messages, sensations and, above all, emotions.
