Hand-Smelted Amythyst and Peridot Ring from Recycled Silver

I formed this ring by hand, melting down scrap sterling silver and forming it into a long, textured strip using a torch and soldering pick. Then the metal was hammered around a ring mandrel to form the bypass ring shape, and the stone settings were soldered into place. The piece was then oxidized, smoothed and polished before the two gemstones were set.
