The Figure's Refusal

The coasters designed by omletistanbul for santraldükkan came into existence by the transformation of two Abidin Dino artworks, 'Hands' and 'Bizarres' into 'objects about life'. The central theme of the design is based on that the main figure are dominant. In these 'Pop-up' coasters Abidin Dino's figures come out of the frame as if holding the glass. Thus the figure is still in view even in use. Ironically this design could caricaturized as "The Figure that Refuses To Be Defeated."
