PORTRAIT OF LADY THATCHER

Torn lengths of fabric are woven through thousands of eyelets, which are screwed into the back panel. The image is then built up like a dot-to-dot allowing the combinations of colours and textures to create the effect.

The portrait was unveiled by Lady Thatcher in 2006 and exhibited at Deutsche Bank in London.

Designer: Benjamin Shine
Material: Silk fabric through eyelets on rusted iron
Dimension: 4ft x 5ft
