SPOKE

SPOKE is a piece of lighting made from discarded bicycle wheels.

Spoke was inspired by waste that can be transformed into something that appears expensive. The idea was to turn the wheel into a pendant light that would take on the appearance of a chandelier. This tongue- in- cheek reference to the expense of chandeliers is achieved through the use of acrylic blocks that bounce the light casting interesting shadows across your ceiling.
