Object Without a Story

Bandoni & Meroz created The Archetypical Vase to question creating and understanding objects through textual language. As part of the project The Object Without a Story, the two analyzed hundreds of stories accompanying design objects, selecting common words to create new stories for non-existing objects. One of these objects is The Archetypical Vase, which they created in glass. Instead of an object being monopolized by the 'official' story, it can offer multiple interpretations.

Designer: Andrea Bandoni & Joana Meroz (Netherlands)
Manufacturer: Stichting Glas Leerdam (Netherlands)
