Zima is a set of minimal coasters produced by Morphocode. The design is based on the growth of snow crystals and cellular organisms. The aggregation process starts with a single cell. Soon, the birth of a few neighbors leads to a consistent structural growth, governed by simple rules of interaction. Each successive step gives rise to an intricate, self-organized pattern.

What a great idea. How do the parts give birth? Do they actually grow or do you add parts like a lego toy? However it does it I am sure that they keep moisture off the table tops. lol.
