Thinking WATT

Thinking-Watt creates awareness of personal energy used in work. Power to the desk relies on the user placing their phone in the device to act as a switch, which then monitors energy usage and alerts the user when they go over a specified limit.
30 minutes after the phone has been removed, the device will cut the power, stopping equipment being left on when users aren’t present. At the end of each day a report is displayed on the company’s network showing the energy used by each individual.

This is cool! I wonder if this product could somehow be coupled with this "energy harvester": http://www.smart-urban-stage.com/blog/post/energy-harvest/, so that unused energy could not only be monitored, but gathered and put to use elsewhere?
