Project submitted to the "2nd competition of ideas – the table” by Riva 1920.
The name of the design is “Gallegiante”, which in Italian means floating, and is inspired from the mooring of the boats to the Briccole. The Gallegiante design emphasizes the discovery of the floating/hanging tabletop by means of functional details: The keel, the woodlock, and the steelrod mooring, thereby expressing the story of the mooringposts in a non-literal manner.
