Tic-tac-toes

This sideboard's 3 lines and columns recall a classic tic-tac-toe game. The way colors are used reflects the fact that no player can win, a metaphor of earth (greige) and water (blue) balance in our world. But harmony also comes from diversity: the 'ripple effect' construction of this cabinet makes sure none of the compartments is the same size, and mixes drawers with horitontal and vertical opening doors. All of them have a push-click opening system.

Designer: Maentler-Ducoté
Inspired By: Shiro Kuramata's Progetti Compiuti chests of drawers, and Piet Mondrian's paintings
