Curytiba Chair

The design of chairs not upholstered and comfortable at the same time is always a challenge. Especially when one of the requirements of this project is to avoid the use of molded wood, but the Brazilian designers Alessandro Torricelli & Ralph Voigt found a simple and efficient solution: they divided the seat and backrest in two pieces and bowed to the center until the pressure zones under the tailbone and back were relieved. The result? a very, very comfortable sit.
