Metropolis
From Salone Satellite 2011. Metropolis is a TV sideboard, first of a line of retrofuturistic objects. A tribute to the first true science fiction moovie in the
history of cinema. The intention is, however, to seek a new design style that combines retro atmospheres with modern finishes and processes, essential lines with “fantastic” details. Furniture designed “today”, but conceived as objects for the future of “yesterday”.

Lamp bookends made from two sheets of metal bent in an “L”, which contain like a sandwich a matt acrylic diffuser and a row of LEDs. The sentence written on the sides create by laser cutting, is an open invitation to read.
