TaglienteWith the advent of LED lighting units suitable for outdoor lighting, ewo asked international architects Plasma Studio to develop a new type of street light for this radically new technology. Starting from the conceptual diagram of the streetlamp as the combination of vertical shaft and horizontal light-emitting beam and looking at birds and flowers for reference, Plasma developed Tagliente as a fluid transition between the vertical and horizontal directions.

Urban Furniture line Upewo, manufacturer of high-quality lighting systems, has won the iF Public Design Award 2010 for its "Up" product range. The product range was developed in collaboration with the Norwegian design team, "Norway Says" and encompasses lighting and furniture elements from bollards to bicycle stands through to a bench. The formal concept is carried throughout the range and enables planners to create an esthetically coherent cityscape, something which also convinced the iF Award judging panel.
