The Flower table is the new creation of Filippo Ghezzani, that will be present on Macef 2011 in
Milan, this is the preview.

In a clear homage to Hermès and its scarf which has made the house famous throughout the world, the “Foulard chair”, combining elegance and simplicity, a functional nature and an aesthetic flair, is designed as a cross section which embraces the rigour of the utilized geometric form but which expresses a strong dynamic offered by the fluctuating nature of the scarf itself.

The classic armchair has been re-read in a modern key. Thus, “Little armchair” was born, defined by small proportions (enough to note it measures only 70cm) and is represented in several colour variations. Focusing on substantiality and dynamism, classical nature and research for originality in the details, it is an unusual proposal capable of meeting multiple requirements.

Simple lines that make geometric forms. Strict in design and sober in colour use. “Island Armchair” marries a deliberately moderate aesthetic with a design that does not renounce its markedly functional appearance.

Characterized by a clear inspiration of not only the courageous use of colour, both for the geometric shapes which it is made up of, the “Cut Table” combines aesthetic sensibility with a decidedly usable design. Composed of individual pieces that, while not touching, create a unitary volume, ensure an organic and harmonious synergy between the elements, and go beyond their deliberate discontinuity.

Revisitation of the classic director chair by The Home Key and Filippo Ghezzani

The simplicity of the lines and by the two sole elements of which it is composed make the “Big Bed” a classic design object, clean and deliberately neutral. In perfect continuity with the objective of the collection, the base of the bed seems to evoke the appearance of an ipe beam. Covered in fabric and leather from the sample line, the product avoids all artificiality in favour of beauty of the essential..

Upsetting the conventional idea of chairs and abandoning the traditional fundamentals that are seen as represented in its unity and composite simplicity, the product is characterized by an unusual vertical cut that separates the individual pieces of which it consists. Despite the special aesthetic choice, the chair does not give up on comfort: the distance between the pieces is minimal and is imperceptible thanks to the soft padded surface that is provided.

From classic design and undoubted comfort, “One Chair” recalls the pivotal theme of the entire collection: the ipe beam that, ideally and not solely, constitutes the gravitational centre around which the product is developed. Besides the apparently severe use of polychrome it reveals extreme ductility and betrays the basic intent: placing side by side the seriousness of line and playfulness of colour.

The symbiotic relationship between architecture and design is best expressed in “Cut sofa.” Behind the apparently classic nature of the object there is meticulous attention to its usability. The base on which it rests allows one to combine and arrange positioning to one’s individual pleasure and, at the same time, its seven walls can disrupt the regularity of the sofa with dissonant solutions, but which are perfectly adaptable as a group.

Abandoning the traditional concept of stability, “Sewn Chair” promotes a decidedly uncertain design. Cut horizontally, the chair is composed of individual parts that seem to lack connection with each other and that, linked by a thin wire, further the unstable influence to the extent needed ..

The name “Cut Armchair” is suggestive of the manifest intent of the designer: it is, literally and conceptually, vertically cut into autonomous parts that acquire a real sense only when related to its baseline. From the geometric composition of its elements to the colours employed, the armchair fully reflects the philosophy of the H LINE.

H SOFA is the result of an accurate study aimed to revise the ipe beam – with respect for proportions and for the original design – in order to produce a design object that could be functional both as furniture and for the daily use.
