Dekka is a manifestation of good old craftsmanship and highly advanced manufacturing. The 150 kilo aluminium frame is made from one massive block of aluminium, milled out on an advanced 5-axis CNC machine. In the process of realizing this project, it has been a great challenge for both the designers and the CNC programmers to collaborate on a piece of furniture that reflects new standards of this manufacturing technology. Hook me up is a coat hanger consisting of a single element in repetition. The distance between the floor and the ceiling is the only limiting factor for the length of the chain.
The purpose has been to rethink a coat hanger and question the common idea of how a coat hanger appears. It doesn’t take up any space on the floor, makes cleaning more convenient and can be used by everybody low as tall. The product is simple – yet with its graphical expression still effective.

Droid is FurnIDs latest proposal on how a sculptural and futuristic plastic chair that embraces the body with elegant curves should look.
The chair is a result of a long and exciting design process with the word tactile as the main focus.
The soft curves invite the user to feel the product and to have a bit of rest. At the same time it creates the perfect settings for a cozy evening around the dinner table.

FurnID has created a table that will bring an extra dimension to the private dinner situation and create the best possible conditions for an equal communication. The table is created so the shape and expression is inviting and so it offers the same social qualities as an ordinary round table.
The position of the legs means that no one can be placed at the end of the table and a hierarchical seating of the users is therefore not possible.

Compared to ordinary drawers Dias wants to stand out! It opens up sideways like a matchbox, dictating the positioning of other furnitures by claiming a central space on the wall. The drawer is covered with pyramids with the exception of a small flat tray-like surface. This has partly been in order to create strong contrasts caused by the highlights and shadows from the surface structure, but also to limit the tendency to place all sorts of knick-knack on the horizontal surface.

Dekka is a daybed where two design traditions integrates in one furniture. FurnID has chosen to let the Danish design tradition meet with the Arab and the result is a minimalistic daybed by the name Dekka. Dekka is a meeting between old handwork and industrial processing, between hard and soft, between light and shadow, between matt and shiny, between decoration and minimalism, between asymmetry and stringency and between aesthetic and function.
