4 UNIQUE PASSIVE HOUSES

Kjellgren Kaminsky Architecture and Emrahus have developed Sweden's first series of prefabricated houses with passive house technique.

The goal is to make energy-saving and environmentally friendly passivhouses available for everyone. We also want to show that low energy houses and good architecture can be joined. The construction we have used for the catalouge houses can also be used for row houses and small apartment houses.

SUPER SUSTAINABLE CITY

Gothenburg faces a challenge comparable in size with the industrial revolution; to become a sustainable city.

To achieve this vision we must change both our mindset and our built environment. With a starting point in the Göteborg 2050 vision conducted by the Göteborg municipality Kjellgren Kaminsky Architecture presents an architectural vision for a sustainable Gothenburg.

HELLO SAILOR

We used to sail almost every day in the ocean outside Gothenburg. Looking at the sails and ropes playing in the soft breeze they seamed smooth and inviting. This image gave us inspiration to create a place to rest. Using a spare sail and some rope we started playing, trying to stretch the sail so one could recline in it. By threading the rope on steeltubes the chair became rigid. We continued for months with refinements until we finally where satisfied with our prototype.
