Andes - Syndicate Headquarters

This is the headquarters of the National Sindicate of University Teachers, an office inside a whole floor inside a building at the Commercial Sector in Brasília. Our idea was to build a space that represented the past of struggle and endurance of this organization. We tried to do this by creating a red corridor that cuts the slanted wall at the entrance and forms the entrance of the office space. This corridor cuts through the whole floor.

Patchwork Pavillion - Temporary Art Gallery

This is a temporary art gallery built for an exhibition in Brasília, called Casa Cor 2008. Its official name "Art Gallery" (Galeria de Arte) was then renamed by us as "Galeria Domo Arquitetos/Pavilhão Rendado" (Patchwork Pavillion). Its outer skin is composed by a random combination of 4 different patterns of pre-cast concrete blocks. Blocks like these were largely used in the early modernist buildings in Brasília for ventilation and illumination.

Renctas - NGO shop

This is a shop design for the brazilian NGO Renctas. This NGO promotes design made by artisans with natural materials. The shop design proposes sustainable use of different natural-like materias, either by using leftovers from a wood factory (right side wall), vinyl slabs with LEED certification with printed wood patterns (floor) and wallpaper embedded with renewanatural fibers (left wall and parto f the ceinling).
