ALPINE HUT MINIMIZE THE POINT OF CONTACT WITH THE ROCKY GROUND. THE MAIN STRUCTURE CONSISTS OF 4 WOODEN ARCS ANCHORED TO THE ROCK WITH 8 STEEL BASE PLATES, SECONDARY STRUCTURE IS REALIZED WITH 4 COUPLE OF L WOODEN BEAM FIXED TO THE 4 ARCS.
THE INTERIOR SHELL IS ASSEMBLED WITH PREFORMED WOODEN INSULATED PANELS. ENERGY IS PROVIDED WITH 80 MICRO WIND TURBINS THAT CHARGE 18 LITHIUM BATTERY PACK, WATER IS SUPPLIED BY 2 WATER TANK FILLED BY A NEARBY WATER SOURCE.

This project is a proposal to re-use a sand barge, used to carry sand and construction materials, in my new studio space, in consideration that Milan it’s a very expensive city (to rent or buy a department) for a very small architectural firm.

Made with 5 postal tubes and 6 plastic end plugs. It’s strong, cheap, green , unbendable and very light. Each stool weight 900 g, dimension 625 x 625 x 490 mm, all the junctions are realized with precise joints and high performance glue.
For outdoor use, is also available a waterproof treatment.
