Social Smokers is a design project in which smoking is viewed with an open mind. It exploits the fact that smoking brings about a unique moment in which social barriers are easily broken between smokers, whether they are acquainted or not.
Meetings, experiences and other life events that occur whilst smoking are recorded via the medium of audio, which is accompanied by a physical sample of the smoke from the chosen scenario, enabling the participants to re-live the time once spent.
