Wienerwald - Corporate ArchitectureThe new corporate architecture for Wienerwald underscores the realignment of the brand, while translating the chain’s traditional strengths of high quality, comfort and German cuisine into a contemporary design idiom. Materials and colors reflect the principles of freshness and naturalness, which find their expression in materials such as wood, leather and textiles, as well as in the dominant green tones that complement the fresh white. Gold is used as an accent color. Designer: Ippolito Fleitz Group - Identity Architects (Germany)
Brunner – Fair stand Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2011When entering the stand, a single chair is elevated to eye level. This forms the starting point for a dynamic whirl of dozen chairs suspended in a cloud above the visitors’ heads. The walls of the space are completely panelled with mirrored polystyrene shingles. The panoramic effect of the mirrors adds additional dramatic impact to the scene. Their honeycomb structure deconstructs reflections: Individual forms are no longer recognisable and everything melts into a pixellated burst of colour.

Palace of International Forums UzbekistanUzbekistan’s representative building is designed as a platform for hosting acts of state, congresses and other cultural highlights. Our task was to give the interior a contemporary form, while incorporating elements from traditional Uzbek architecture. The result is a cosmopolitan, communicative interior clothed in exclusive materials. Planar ornamentation, organic movement, crystals, precious metals and a fascinating interplay of artificial and natural light all become a source of inspiration.

weissraum Dental surgeryOur task was to name the dental practice, design the interior and develop visual communication measures as part of an holistic concept. »weissraum« dental practice displays a distinct, modern interior architecture, which is both natural and warm, while honouring the historical building substance in a very special way. Although the rooms appear transparent, great emphasis has been placed on discretion, thus counteracting a possible threshold fear on the part of the patient.

Bar FouFouFouFou is a champagne bar situated at the very edge of Stuttgart’s red light district. The interior design was inspired by the building’s location and history, resulting in a space where boudoir meets salon. The FouFou is a space that successfully combines genteel glamour with modern appeal. The different lounge areas boast ample room to savour a good glass of champagne in a suitably sophisticated setting, as well as serving the needs of club-goers on the weekend.

Belfry TashkentThe jewelry is housed in a belfry. The rooms translate the exclusive nature of the goods on display both thematically and functionally. In the historic setting of the belfry, Uzbekistan’s design traditions melt and merge with a contemporary design language. The historical ornamentation at the tip of the pointed arch windows casts its reflection upon the stainless steel patterns in the interior. Interior and exterior, old and new are thus conjoined and intermingle in a fascinating synthesis.

Club MashClub Mash is designed to cater for events as a club, restaurant and all-day bar. The large bar, which is stunningly illuminated by more than 2500 plastic batons, takes centre stage in the space. It divides the room into three zones in which two niches enclosed behind silk curtains display a more intimate character. The individual areas are connected by continuous mauve-coloured flooring as well as a superimposed ceiling of white printed tiles with a surrealist collage.

Conradt OptikRefurbishment of Conradt Optik: The interior can be accessed through one of two entrances, both of which lead to the central service counter. An organically curving rear wall masks the workshop areas and divides the shop into zones. Fitted into the rear wall are long backlit presentation bays and flush-set drawers for accessible product storage. The ceiling is decorated with a pattern of lines and differentiates the customer service area from the shop floor.

Studio Ippolito Fleitz GroupOver the past six successful years, the number of co-workers at Ippolito Fleitz Group design studio has grown with its tasks. The architects and communication designers have therefore jointly created for themselves a new place of work on a floor of an old office building. The design of the space is in accordance with their own demanding standard as “identity architects“ - the office is to be the hallmark that conveys their identity to both clients and co-workers.

WakuWaku HamburgThe opening of the first branch of the restaurant chain WakuWaku in Hamburg gives the starting signal for the company’s self-proclaimed revolution of the fast food sector. WakuWaku’s philosophy revolves around a consistently implemented concept of sustainability and good value, healthy food, which is prepared extremely quickly. Our studio’s task was to translate the principle of sustainability into an overriding architectural concept.

Fairstand Bundesarchitektenkammer by IFGroupThe German Federal Chamber of Architects asked us to design an exhibition stand that consistently embodied the concept of sustainability. A large number of the elements making up the stand originate from an exhibition builder’s ‘reject warehouse’, and are basically offcuts from different fair stands. The individual parts were combined into a kind of 3D puzzle. The stand’s collage-like character remains deliberately visible in order to present the concept of recycling as a tangible presence.

Bella Italia WeineBella Italia is a wine store as well as a restaurant. It was run for many years in a small living-room-like place with a very personal atmosphere. To extend the sales area as well as the capacity of seats she decided to move to a new location. Our aim was to keep the familiar atmosphere of the first restaurant, highlighting the character as a wine store at the same time. The character of the room is determined by the ceiling with over 90 different mirrors found on jumble sales. Designer: ippolito fleitz group (Germany) |
