Gulp 15th Street

Following the contamination of their different worlds that started during the “De-contamination” exhibition, Romolo Stanco has designed a special edition of his the Gulp! chair together with Milan-based artist Rae Martini – who may be the best known and respected Italian artist in the international group of contemporary street artists. Martini has exhibited his works in the whole world. Romolo Stanco’s chair were often considered by international press as pieces of art as well as design objects.

LaDinDon 15th Street

It’s a raw, metropolitan version of the Stanco’s chair, that hints at a clearly urban context: the city colours, its worn out, dispersed texture, its lack of a well defined identity deeply connected to one material gives way to the sing of the passing time. Stanco and Martini thus gave life to an unusual, innovative meeting. The functional design object takes place of the wall’s surface; the artist is then confronted with a sculpture a dynamic, tridimensional and emotively stimulating object.

KilltheQueen

“Killthequeen” was designed after a deep study of decorations that were in fashion in times gone by. These were re-interpreted by employing innovative digital techniques. Is a reflection on the “lonely condition of contemporary man on a dialogue without any answer. Stanco employed advanced software developed at MIT, to generate complex forms and dynamics. It’s a reflecting tool: it’s both a mirror and a sensory stimulus engraved in its crystal molecular structure by means of laser rays.

Quelcheresta

“Quelcheresta”, literally “what remains” is the light that remains after the removal of the traditional bright source. “Quelcheresta” is a bright element that shows what we normally see around a lamp, it’s such a virtual section of the lighting produced by the lamp if we eliminate the lamp from it. That lamp is exclusively the representation of the lighting element essence. As the name says, the product is: "what remains” when we eliminate the bright source, showing only the "light" it produces.
