Rigolo

Rigolo is a lined  notebook where the printing becomes landscape.
The idea takes shape from childhood memories; it is just a rethinking of the old lined notebooks that we used in kindergarden. How often has our teacher been reproaching us because we were unable to keep our notebook in good order  ?
In Rigolo the lines change colour and slope, they convey subjects ranging from geometry to figurative abstraction , and the child is invited to follow them through writing.

(in)finito perpetual calendar

(in)Finito is born from the superimposition in increasing size of numbered sheets.
The fragments of numbers define a geometric abstraction that, turning the page day after day, changes by declaring the current day.
The perpetual dialectic between chance and rational project, between sense and nonsense defines an aesthetic code that is imprecise but functional at the same time.

Time LInes

Nava continues to draw the time with strict  irrationality breaking up once again the rules of the traditional reading of the time tima Lines is characterized by the improper use of lines that , apparently positioned at random, create instead a dialogue with the clock face, determining and indicating the exact time.

fuso orario 2008

A watch that talks about two times.
The underlying concept is vagueness.
At first glance you see an undetermined hour, illegible.
The white hour hand alongside the minute hand and the second hand in grey tell us the local time while we travel, while the black hour hand tells us the time of the city we departed from.

Ora Ameba Denis Guidone

The hands have no centre. They are the opposite of those on a normal watch. Amoeba because the fact that there is no centre refers to the contemporary city.

ora vago

Elusive Hour (Ora Vago), 2007
The hands resemble those of a compass. We are talking about being disoriented, about losing yourself in a contemporary city with the resulting sense of insecurity. The image is that of an imprecise compass.

ora lattea

In this watch the hands are represented by the empty space between points. This watch in some ways reminds us of the Milky Way. It’s an image synonymous with getting lost, at the limits of legibility, almost a negation of time. The dots, which vary in size, represent, from smaller to biggest, in increasing order, seconds, minutes and hours, while the dot in the centre doesn’t move.

ora unica

Ora Unica wishes to be a provocative clock; its aesthetical principle is inaccuracy. Lack of discipline, a childish and irrational gesture to define time, which is precision and rationality. The hour and minute hands are represented by a single line drawn on two circular faces, which turn one inside the other. Both faces together resemble a graphical gesture, a doodle that changes as time passes.
