Pencil - ceramic bathroom washbasin

Pencil is a ceramic bathroom washbasin collection designed for the Italian company Hatria. The aesthetic value of the object focuses on an unusual area of the washbasin, the edge.
It is an effort to highlight the sculptural value of ceramics, to go out of the search of subtlety and to recount the material by giving it thickness and precence.

Valley bathroom sink

Valley is a ceramic bathroom sink designed for the Italian company Hatria.
The concept behind this project was born taking the standard material shaping idea upside down. Ceramics are seen more as a moldable surface, while in this case it is more a shaped solid everything following its function in a gentle way.
An evident contrast beetween the body geometry and the organic of the basin which receives the water like a excavated rock.

Spidy is a bistrot chair designed from the laser cutting of metal tubes.
This chair has been shaped as a consequence of its manufacturing process.
The laser cutting on the tube makes possible to create a lot of slots that makes it easy to fold and then soldered.
Spidy has a lot of bendings as a speaker for this technology, a shape that is very complicated to do with traditional toolings.

Next for Hatria

Mario Alessiani presents his last product Next, designed for the Italian company Hatria. Hatria has developed an new small the siphon that disappears from the outside and becames invisible.
The design of this collection has a “cut” in the bottom of the ceramic to point out that something is missing, has been cutted away, in order to tell there is a technical innovation inside.

Antilope high stool

Mario Alessiani presents its last product Antilope, designed for the Italian company Offiseria.
Antilope is a flat pack high stool made of a metal structure that support its wooden parts. Every functional part is showen and it is the main sign of its design, highlighted with colors, and becomes at the same time structure and aestethics of the object.
No glue and no joints, it is mounted just with screws. The result is a solid high stool, easy to mount and easy to deliver.

Mario Alessiani has created Carati, a collection of side tables inspired by the rings diamond joint system, the setting.
Made of wood and iron, the plane is supported by the metal structure that contains the wood surface like a precious stone.
The result is the junction system that becames the main protagonist of the sign that is both functional and iconic.

Lift is a collection composed by pot and lamp designed for QuiEstPaul?
QuiEstPau? is specialized in rotomoulding furniture, made with 100% recyclable plastics.
LIFT is made of a plastic pot with a metal structure with the lower part covered of rubber. The pot can be separated by the metal frame and live on the ground. This because we wanted a pot that could hold both high and small plants and let LIFT live different situations.
Then, the collection has been extended with a lamp version.

Bloemi is a suspension lamp inspired by tulips.
Iconographically inspired by tulips, the slight roundness of the petals is reproduced through the padding of the panels of the lampshade, slightly overlapped with each another. Also the materials choise has been done to donate a natural aspect to the object.
The name Bloemi, comes from the Dutch word “bloem” that means “flower”.
