Reading Table

Reading Tables are a combination of the side table and the magazine rack - a logical combination of functions and interior products resolved in a simple and unobtrusive way. A central island is a practical table surface for coffee, plates, sketchbook, and laptop. The area that wraps around it is a storage space for books and magazines. The outside rim also serves as a bookmark when taking a time-out to stop reading. Ideal for living room, bedroom and waiting room.

Plant Pot

A re-interpretation of the traditional flowerpot and saucer: pot and saucer merge into one piece.A simple intervention leads to an extension of the pot, which makes watering easier whilst retaining the iconic image of flowerpot and saucer. The saucer extends to one side to communicate its function. A larger quantity of water can be poured into this extension, which can be absorbed by the plant whenever needed.

The work of Uli Budde investigates the well-known everyday object, transforming the familiar with new solutions which are both thoughtful and functional.

With a close relationship to familiar products, objects and situations, Buddes designs take on an easy understanding and acceptance into daily life - a clever simplicity with an unobtrusive presence.
Simple, formal interventions in the designs evoke the functional, aesthetic and poetic.
