multiple choice: sculptural scarfs

multiple choice is a project-based retail venture.

Each project takes on a different form depending on its concept, which can be anything from a place or a function, to a colour or even a texture.

In may 2008, multiple choice debuted its first project, "made in hk", which took the form of a month-long guerrilla store in nyc featuring clothing, accessories, and objects by hong kong-based independent labels, with the objective of showing that their innovative designs are a vibrant counterpoint to the negative stereotypes conventionally associated with the "made in hk" label.

Multiple choice’s online shop (1) thing is an ongoing project. As its namesake suggests, only ONE thing is offered at a time, at a limited supply or for a limited time. With no thematic boundaries (1) thing features products of individuality that range from commonplace objects to exclusive commissioned items.

(1) thing does not adhere to thematic boundaries. The ONE thing can be a snack, a design object, a fashion accessory, a stationery product, a household sundry…

The shop presents products of individuality that range from commonplace to
exclusive, low end to high end, functional to frivolous. It is a  stand-out in its category, whether in its form, function, concept or flavour.

The debut product is the sculptural scarf designed by fashion studio, the
mint, exclusively for the (1) thing project:

The dual-textured/two-toned scarf is a versatile accessory for all seasons.
One can explore the infinite possibilities with this sculptural wonder:

fold and tuck to create an architectural collar
double wrap to construct a renaissance ruff
drape and tie to use as a shawl
or simply loop it around once to fully expose its play on textures, tones, ruffles and frayed edges.
